What if one of my guests has a food allergy?
We’re committed to keeping all of the guests safe, comfortable, and happy. Just let us know the allergies beforehand so we can relay it to the Master Chef.
What does booking a "private yacht" entail?
"Private" means that every floor and every inch of your chosen yacht is solely there to accommodate you and no one else at your chosen time slot. But there are options to reserve sections on public cruises as well. We'll make sure to give you both options depending upon your budget!
Are there elevators on board?
Yes, some of the yachts do have elevators.
Do I have to decide on the vendors when I sign the contract?
No, you can decide or change your mind on a vendor after you initially book your date with us! Best advice is to decide on vendors with plenty of time in advance before your date to avoid scheduling challenges.
Is there a coat check on board?
There are areas for guests to hang their coats, but we do not have a coat check. However, we can provide one for you at an additional cost.
How can I utilize the outdoor decks?
Depending on the yacht you choose, you can have your ceremony, cocktail hour, and dance floor on the outside decks! We'll plan a backup plan with you in case the rain gets in the way of your day!
Are the piers easily accessible for cabs, Ubers, and Lyfts?
Yes, the piers are very accessible for easy drop-off transportation. We also include 8 hour block guest transportation in our all inclusive Experience Packages.
What's the parking situation?
There is a parking garage located across from 14th St Pier in Hoboken, free parking at Lincoln Harbor Yacht Club in Weehawken, and a 400 space parking lot for our yachts docked in Perth Amboy. Parking garages at Pier 15 and Pier 40 in New York City. Parking lot at Penns Landing in Philadelphia. Parking garage at National Harbor, MD.

Entrusting us with the financial security of your occasion is something we do not take lightly. Your deposit, any payments in between, and the final payment due 25 days before the event, are separated from the GKYS operational account for your protection.

How do I tip the staff?
Since gratuity is solely at your discretion, we do not automatically include this in our packages. Let us know if you'd prefer us to take care of this for you! The highly polished and experienced staff we have on our vessels always appreciate being rewarded for a job well done!
How much does the weather impact my event?
Fortunately, our yachts are fully equipped to cruise every day of the year, rain or shine. All yachts are fully enclosed with heating and air conditioning, and typically not impacted by precipitation. But passenger safety is top priority, and the Captain might decide to stay docked if severe winds are anticipated to make an uncomfortable and un-pleasant experience for you and your guests.
What is required for a deposit and when is the final payment due?
To reserve a charter for your event, we'll need a signed proposal and a 25% deposit. The final balance is due 30 days before your event.
What comes standard in the Experience Packages?
Choice meal options, linens, napkins with free color choice, chairs, tables, silverware, glassware, wait staff, and yacht captain and crew. In our Wedding Experiences, Open Premium Bar is already included.
